What You Can Do

There are a number of ways you can support The Thorn Center for Endocrine Disorders:

Cash

A gift of cash goes to work immediately for the Thorn Center and its patients and is the simplest way to contribute. Checks may be mailed to the following address:

Barbara Smith Dougherty
BWH Thorn Center for Endocrine Disorders
221 Longwood Ave., RFB-2
Boston, MA 02115

Please make your check payable to the "Thorn Center for Endocrine Disorders, BWH".

Credit Card

If you would like to use your credit card to make a donation, please contact Brigham and Women’s Hospital’s Development Office at (617) 732-5008. They can take your information over the phone. Alternately, under "Gift Information" please select "Other" and indicate "Thorn Center for Endocrine Disorders" to ensure your donation is properly credited.Click here.

Securities

By giving appreciated securities to BWH, you can enjoy tax benefits in addition to a charitable income tax deduction. Please call (or have your broker call) the BWH Development Office at (617) 732-5008 for instructions on making the transfer directed to the Thorn Center.

Bequests

You can include The Thorn Center for Endocrine Disorders in your will or estate plan. For some donors, gifts made through their wills are the best way to make substantial contributions to the hospital’s Thorn Center.

Life-Income Gifts

Life-income gifts, such as charitable remainder trusts and charitable gift annuities, are a solid investment in the hospital's future and provide a guaranteed income for the donor or a beneficiary.

Endowments

An endowment fund makes a contribution to the hospital that stands in perpetuity. The endowed fund will yield an annual income that can support research, teaching and/or clinical care at the Thorn Center. Endowed funds create a legacy that supports the mission of the Thorn Center into the future.

For more information about any of the gift options described above, please call or have your attorney or adviser call the Development Office at (617) 732-5008.

You can be a winner, too!

Thank you for your thoughtful generosity.
